At the 80th anniversary of the LSIWC, long-standing colleagues were honored

During the Institute’s 80th anniversary celebration on March 20, a special place was dedicated to those whose professional lives have been closely intertwined with the Institute’s history, development, and daily work. Alongside addresses by the Institute’s leadership, representatives of the sector, and cooperation partners, the anniversary programme also included a tribute to the longest-serving colleagues of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry.

At this meaningful moment, appreciation was expressed to researchers whose long-term work has formed the professional foundation of the Institute and ensured continuity across several generations of scientists.

For their long-standing contribution to the Institute, the following were honored:

The professional experience, dedication to the Institute, and long-standing work in science demonstrated by these colleagues represent a true value of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry. Through their work, they have not only contributed to the development of specific research areas, but have also helped shape the Institute’s identity, maintain scientific quality, and pass on accumulated knowledge to future generations.

The anniversary event provided an opportunity not only to reflect on the achievements of eighty years, but also to express gratitude to those whose daily work has shaped this story from within — patiently, professionally, and with a strong sense of responsibility.
