Wood, upon specific treatment and densification, has a potential to be used in bone implants, but the valuable extraction products obtained from birch outer bark can be incorporated in natural medicinal materials by electrospinning.
We extract biologically active compounds, antioxidants for food and cosmetics from various raw materials (birch bark, different plants and their residues, algae). We grow plant-based meet substitutes by innovative biotechnologies.
We can investigate the antioxidant activity of natural substances in vitro and in vivo, we study the impact of polyphenols on the activity of digestive enzymes.
