We have investigated development of biomass-based fuel pellets, characterisation and improvement of their properties with various methods.
Biochar obtained by thermochemical processing of biomass can be activated and doped to obtain multifunctional carbon materials to be used as:
- electrode materials for obtaining green hydrogen,
- sorbents for hydrogen storage and transportation,
- catalysts for hydrogen conversion into energy,
- substitutes for the unsustainable graphite in litium ion batteries.
