BioPhoT
General objective of the project: To develop academic research and applied science competencies for the development of innovative and commercializable products and technologies.
By 2032, create 35 new technologies of at least TRL 3–4 levels, of which at least 23 should correspond to TRL 5–6 levels. At least 4 technologies should have reached the commercialization phase. The platform sets as an important task the issues of innovation education and technology transfer training, promoting dialogue between scientists, the commercial sector and policymakers. This approach will allow to reduce the gap between science and the commercial sector, improving the possibility of inventions to overcome the so-called valley of death on the path of their development.
The strategic impact of the platform lies in its goal of identifying ideas with a low TRL level, but good commercialization potential and, by implementing the project, increasing it, thus preparing competitive applications for commercialization grant competitions of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).
Total budget: 17 100 000,00 EUR
