LSIWC Researcher Arnis Āboliņš Participates in the Dynamic Polymer Networks Meeting 2025 in Iceland

From 11 to 14 August 2025, Iceland’s capital Reykjavík has become the meeting place for around 200 scientists, engineers, and early-career researchers from around the world. The Dynamic Polymer Networks Meeting 2025 brings together participants from North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania to discuss the latest advances in covalent adaptable networks, vitrimers, and non-covalent dynamic polymer networks.
The conference speakers represent countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, China, Japan, Singapore, and Australia. This diversity provides a broad perspective on the latest approaches in polymer chemistry and materials science, while fostering international collaboration.
Latvia is represented at this prestigious forum by Arnis Āboliņš, a researcher at the Polymer Laboratory of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry. At the conference, Arnis is presenting a poster entitled "From waste to resource: Aza-Michael donor synthesis from used cooking oil for covalently adaptable thermosets", which showcases the results of the LZP FLPP Project No. lzp-2024/1-0333 “Bio-based, Highly Crosslinked β-Amino Polymer Resins as Thermally Recyclable Building Blocks (TReResin)".
LSIWC is proud to be among the conference participants, affirming that Latvian research is part of the global conversation on sustainable, adaptable, and future-ready polymers.
