Biomass processing and carbonization (thermal-pyrolysis, hydrothermal). Extraction of activated carbon and analysis of the structure and morphology of the obtained material.
Additional information
In 2017, together with the team of authors, the LZA award "Achievement of Latvian science of the year in 2016 in practical applications" was won for the work "Developed concept for complex processing of commercial birch bark with high added value". In 2018, Ance received the Latvian Academy of Sciences Award in Science for her work titled “Innovative Process for Obtaining Multifunctional Nanoporous Carbon.”
