Representatives of LSIWC attend the "INSE2024" conference in Warsaw

On October 22-23 our colleagues Uģis Cābulis and Kristīne Meile attended the ''Sustainable Economy in Horizon Europe. International Matchmaking&Networking INSE2024" conference in Warsaw, Poland, which was organised by:

  • Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (Industry Contact Point Sustainable Economy)
  • Łukasiewicz Research Network – Warsaw Institute of Technology (Industry Contact Point Low-emission Technologies and Clean Energy)
  • Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation (Industry Contact Point Clean and Smart Mobility)
  • The Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology (IZTECH)

The aim of the INSE2024 conference was to to establish direct contacts between scientists/researchers and entrepreneurs, which was ensured by various activities:

  • Pitching sessions – presentations of cutting -edge project ideas related to the theme of the event
  • Networking sessions – building relationships and expanding networks of industry contacts 
  • Matchmaking sessions – identifying and connecting partners with common project interests 

Our colleagues took advantage of all the opportunities at the conference, made new valuable contacts and gave their pitches on:

  • Biomass-based polymers as innovative insulation materials with applications in the field of aviation (Uģis Cābulis)
  • Thermochemical processing of biomass for value-added products - biochar materials and green chemicals (Kristīne Meile)

The participation in the conference was supported by the Latvian Council of Science.
