Plenary Lecture at BPS2025: Dr. Jānis Rižikovs to Represent LSIWC in Tallinn
From October 1 to 3, the 23rd Baltic Polymer Symposium (BPS2025) will take place in Tallinn. Since 2001, this symposium has served as a meeting point not only for polymer experts from the Baltic states but also for participants from more than 15 countries worldwide.
The symposium program features plenary sessions with world-renowned experts, thematic discussions, and informal networking events. It is a comprehensive and forward-looking scientific forum that fosters new connections and international collaboration.
We are proud to announce that our researcher, Dr.sc.ing. Jānis Rižikovs, has been included among the plenary speakers of the 23rd Baltic Polymer Symposium. His presentation will focus on the topic: “Versatile roles of birch bark suberinic acids: from wood adhesives to polymer building blocks.”
This year’s symposium is organized by the TalTech Wood Valorisation HUB, with a particular focus on the role of polymer science in four key areas:
- Wood-based materials
- Textile materials
- Functional materials
- Composite materials
This autumn in Tallinn, participants will not only witness outstanding research in the fields of polymers and composites, but the symposium will also serve as a dynamic platform for exchange of ideas, networking, and fostering cooperation between academia and industry.
