LSIWC at Deep Tech Atelier 2025: Synergy Between Science and Industry in Space Materials Innovation

The Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry proudly participated in this year’s Deep Tech Atelier 2025—the leading deep-tech conference in the Baltics, held in Riga.

Our Scientific Director, Dr. sc. ing. Uģis Cābulis, actively engaged in the event, discussing the future of science-driven technologies with leading experts, innovators, and policymakers. The conference covered a diverse range of topics, including sustainable materials, synthetic biology, quantum computing, and the rapidly developing space industry.

During the event, Dr. Cābulis also attended a reception at the Norwegian Embassy, where the importance of international collaboration in the space sector was emphasized. This gathering highlighted the growing global interest in LSIWC scientists’ contributions and the potential for cross-border partnerships.

We are pleased to see the significance of LSIWC scientists and wood chemistry innovations recognized on such platforms, reinforcing the role of wood chemistry and materials science in addressing global challenges and promoting technological excellence.
