Scientific interests and competences
- Wood chemistry and technology. Studies of pretreatment (hydrolysis) of wood and agricultural wastes, obtaining furfural, acetic acid and xylose, depending on the main process parameters (temperature, pressure, time, amount of catalyst and concentration, etc.). Kinetic studies of the formation of these products.
- Research of lignocellulose residue as a potential raw material for the production of bioethanol and other products.
