Integration of secure technologies for protection against Covid-19 in healthcare and high risk areas
Project summary
The research aims to limit the spread of Covid-19 and other diseases in healthcare and high-risk areas by developing safe, innovative technologies and products for the collective and individual protection of citizens and professionals. One of the objectives of the study is to pilot and test conceptual compositions for a filter composite material to be used for individual protection. Researchers will also work on automated equipment for air and surface disinfection - a mobile robot for surface disinfection, disinfection gates that spray disinfectant on people passing through them, equipment for air disinfection and other research tasks, developing a total of seven prototypes and producing six scientific papers.
LSIWC aims to develop a biodegradable composite membrane made of natural fibres for the filter layer of personal protective equipment. The structure, thickness, density, air permeability of the material will be tested and adapted.
