Use of innovative prebiotics in poultry and crop production to achieve climate neutrality
Project summary
Based on bioeconomic calculations, to develop feed technology for laying hens for an integrated agricultural system, including innovative prebiotics produced from local grain processing residues - xylo-oligosaccharides. To assess the effect of prebiotics on the productivity and quality of production of laying hens, as possibilities for reducing emissions of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds. To create a substrate (an alternative to peat) from the by-products of prebiotic production, to study its physical properties and to conduct a trial for its potential application in crop cultivation.
