ILABS 25 Summer School

The International Experimental Summer School "ILABS25" will take place in Kuldīga from 26 May to 1 June.On 28 May, representatives of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry will demonstrate materials developed at the institute.

For the second year in a row, the LSIWC Student Council participates in the International Summer School organised by the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA). Students from the Design Department of LMA, as well as from Lithuania, Iceland, Portugal and Germany will work on the theme "Timber - from forests, trees to timber and production residues". Representatives of LSIWC will give a lecture on the biomass materials produced at LSIWC and will conduct a practical session demonstrating how to produce rigid polyurethane foams. Students will have a chance to work with different biomass products to develop new product designs.
