Appreciation for Successful Collaboration with the Journal of Renewable Materials

The Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry (LSIWC) has received a heartfelt letter of appreciation from Techscience Press, recognizing the successful collaboration on a special issue of the Journal of Renewable Materials.

The special issue titled “Advances in Biorefinery Technologies and Products – 2024” was initiated as a direct outcome of the international conference BTechPro 2024 (“Biorefinery Technologies and Products”). Organized by LSIWC in cooperation with industry partners, the conference brought together researchers, industry representatives, and startups from Latvia and abroad to share recent achievements and innovations in biorefinery, wood chemistry, and sustainable materials.

Thanks to this initiative, the journal published 7 scientific articles highlighting key topics of the conference and providing insight into current developments in the bioeconomy. LSIWC researchers actively participated as both authors and guest editors, helping to ensure the scientific quality of the issue.

The guest editors of the special issue were:

Dr. chem. Kristīne Meile and Ph.D. Miķelis Kirpluks made an especially significant contribution to the editorial work and collaboration with the authors.

The Techscience Press editorial team emphasized that the special issue has been a great success and stands as a testament to the value and impact of the BTechPro conference.
