The information about LSIWC research on wood protection was included in THE LATVIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES YEARBOOK 2022. The article give overview about LSIWC Laboratory of Wood Biodegradation and Protection: its history, performed research and realised projects, equipment and methods, cooperation with industry and contribution in preservation of cultural heritage objects.

The information about succesful commercialisation of research results was included in THE LATVIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES YEARBOOK 2022 (section: Commercialisation of knowledge). The study about obtaining of betulin, development and scaling of its technology and has been done in cooperation between leading researchers of LSIWC Aigars Pāže and Jānis Rižikovs and specialists of JSC "Latvijas Finieris" Inguss Virsis un Kristaps Stankuss.
