The technical equipment of the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry covers the needs of various research directions - both fundamental and applied. The chemical laboratories of the Institute are equipped with various testing, material development and biomass processing devices. A strong base of scientific infrastructure has been accumulated over many years, including various original design equipment. The equipment of the pilot-scale hangar for biomass preparation and various biorefining processes should be especially emphasized, enabling us to raise the technologies developed by ourselves and our partners to a higher level of technological readiness (TRL 4-6).
